If late, Reliance Jio has been in the limelight with regards to the new IUC minutes and all the drama surrounding it. The operator went through a massive overhaul of its prepaid plans just to make more sense for its new IUC plans. The All-In-One prepaid plans from Jio have been introduced to bring more benefits in terms of IUC minutes as well as data. And that has now led Airtel to come up with equally good, if not better, plans in a bid to draw more customers to its network.

For its prepaid customers, Airtel has introduced a new plan at Rs 599 per month. At first glance, this plan offers everything that you expect from plans at this price, except for the data allowance that’s slightly lower. Subscribers are entitled to get 2GB data per day for the entire validity period. Wonder what’s the validity period? Airtel is offering only 84 days of validity with this prepaid plan.

As for the call-based benefits, Airtel is proudly boasting about completely free calls to any network without any hidden charge. Hence, subscribers will get completely free calls with this plan without any limits or charges. The plan also bundles 100 free SMSes per day with this plan.

However, the cherry on top is the addition of life insurance that’s worth Rs 4 lakhs. Airtel has tied up with Bharti AXA Life Insurance to offer free life insurance benefits worth Rs 4 lakhs. The insurance will be valid for all customers aged between 18 years and 54 years, and there will be no paperwork or medical examination required. Airtel will even deliver a physical copy of the insurance to the user’s address.

In order to activate the insurance, users will need to make the recharge and head over to the Airtel Thanks app to avail it. Users can also activate it through SMS or visit the nearest Airtel retail store.

“We are delighted to extend Life Insurance to our customers, who can easily avail it through our Insurance Bundle Recharges. In doing so, we are happy to partner with Bharti AXA Life Insurance to roll out this innovative offering,” Vani Venkatesh, CEO – Delhi NCR, Bharti Airtel, said.
